Trick Or Treat Returns To Gloucester Main Street

Gloucester Main Street Association, along with Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office will once again host one of Gloucester Main Street’s beloved events, Trick or Treat Gloucester Main Street will be held on Monday, October 31st, 5:30p-7:45p. A road closure will be in effect from 5p-8p starting at the historic Court Circle to Edgehill Shopping Center. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through access

Jennifer Dutton Haggerty, Executive Director of Gloucester Main Street Association, expressed many thanks to Sheriff Warren and the men and women of GCSO that come out in full force to ensure the safety of all attending.

“Everyone loves a good scare on Halloween but not when it comes to the safety of all participating in this fun, friendly event. We have many Main Street businesses participating, this year, as well as other organizations, churches and other businesses not located on Main Street that are joining us in the fun! And, we have many residents, along or just off Main Street, that are in the hopes of trick-or-treaters paying them a visit! Look for porch lights that are on! So many people look forward to this fun event, including GMSA’s own Board of Directors and volunteers. It’s always a great time bringing the community together, making new friends and seeing all the costumes! That’s my favorite part, seeing everyone of all ages in such creative costumes,” said Haggerty.

This year, the GCSO Mobile Command Center will return, as well as patrol officers on foot and on bicycle to ensure the safety of all during the road closure of 5p-8p. Sheriff Warren states, “this is a great event that I look forward to attending each year. Trick or Treat Gloucester Main Street provides a safe venue for kids to enjoy the tradition of trick-or- treating”
